Jacqueline Hamesse

We are very sad to announce that Professor Jacqueline Hamesse died on 3 February 2023 in Ottignies, Belgium, at the age of 80. President Emeritus of SIEPM, she founded FIDEM in 1987, together with Father Boyle. She strongly supported the European Diploma in Medieval Studies (DEEM), which still plays a fundamental role in preparing young scholars for the study of medieval texts. The funeral was held in Ottignies, Belgium, in the church of Saint-Martin de Lathuy, on Saturday 11 February at 10 a.m.
